Every great story needs a beginning.

For Club Racing Australia, that story begins with a horse whose name could not be more fitting.

Meet Fire Star, the first racehorse acquired by Club Racing Australia...and the first glimpse of an exciting new era bringing racing and Australian sports fans together.

A proven performer

Fire Star is a six-year-old gelding by champion sprinter Deep Field, out of the stakes-winning Street Cry mare Sabatini.

Across 31 starts, he has already built an impressive racing record:

  • 6 wins

  • 7 second placings

  • 3 third placings

  • More than $554,000 in prizemoney

  • Multiple metropolitan victories

  • Two Listed-race placings

  • Proven form at Group and Listed level

But the numbers tell only part of his story.

Four consecutive victories

During the spring of 2024, Fire Star produced an outstanding run of form, winning four consecutive races across Warwick Farm and Rosehill.

In the process, he progressed rapidly through the grades—from Benchmark 72 company to Benchmark 88—and established himself as a talented and determined metropolitan sprinter.

Since then, Fire Star has continued to test himself against some of Australia’s toughest racing talent.

He finished third in the Listed Ortensia Stakes and was beaten by just 0.2 lengths when finishing second in the Listed Falvelon Quality. He has also competed strongly in Group 3 and Listed races across Sydney, Scone, Grafton and Brisbane.

In his most recent appearance, Fire Star carried 60 kilograms and finished third at Rosehill—a performance that showed there is still plenty of fire burning.

The next chapter begins

Fire Star is tough, fast and proven.

Now, he is ready to begin the next chapter of his racing career with Club Racing Australia and trainer David Pfieffer.

Soon, sports fans will have the opportunity to follow his journey, experience the excitement of racehorse ownership and cheer him home as part of one team.

Fire Star represents more than Club Racing Australia’s first horse. He represents the beginning of a new way for supporters to connect with racing—through shared colours, unforgettable experiences and the thrill of following a racehorse from behind the scenes to race day.

This is the first horse.

The first chapter.

And the first glimpse of what Club Racing Australia is about to bring to Australian sport.

Welcome to the team, Fire Star. 🔥⭐
